Facelift & Necklift
A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure designed to reduce the visible signs of aging on the face by tightening sagging skin, smoothing deep folds, and restoring a more youthful contour. This comprehensive approach targets the mid-face, jawline, and neck, providing a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. Ideal for those seeking to address wrinkles and loose skin, a facelift can dramatically enhance overall facial aesthetics and boost self-confidence.
A necklift, or platysmaplasty, is a cosmetic surgical procedure aimed at improving the appearance of the neck by tightening loose skin, removing excess fat, and smoothing out wrinkles. This procedure can address issues such as “turkey neck,” jowls, and double chin, resulting in a more defined and youthful neck contour. Perfect for individuals looking to enhance their neck profile and achieve a more harmonious balance with their facial features, a necklift offers long-lasting and natural-looking results.
The process
01. Personalized Consultation
The process begins with an in-depth consultation to understand your goals and evaluate your facial structure. Our surgeons discuss the various facelift or necklift options and develop a personalized plan tailored to your needs and expectations.
02. Preparing for Surgery
Preparation for your facelift or necklift includes detailed pre-surgery instructions, dietary guidelines, and any necessary medications. Our team ensures you are fully prepared for a safe and successful surgical experience.
03. The Surgical Procedure
Facelift or necklift surgeries generally last several hours and can be performed under general anesthesia or a combination of local anesthesia and sedation. Incisions are strategically placed above the temples in the hairline, around the ears, and sometimes under the chin. The skin and subcutaneous tissue are separated from the underlying structures, and the deeper layers are lifted and repositioned. Excess skin is removed, and the incisions are closed with sutures, resulting in a naturally youthful appearance.
04. Recovery & After Care
After surgery, your head will be wrapped in a specific dressing or bandage for the first few days. Swelling and bruising are common and typically resolve within one to two weeks. Sutures are usually removed at a follow-up appointment after one week. Patients can typically return to work and everyday activities within ten to fourteen days, with strenuous activities being resumed after at least two weeks. Minimizing sun exposure is important during the initial recovery period.
