The process

01. Personalized Consultation

The lip lift process begins with a thorough consultation with one of our talented surgeons at our Edmonton clinic to understand your goals and assess your facial structure. Our surgeons will discuss the procedure and develop a personalized plan to achieve the desired contour and definition for your face.

02. Preparing for Surgery

Preparation for your lip lift includes detailed pre-surgery instructions, dietary guidelines, and potentially necessary medications. Our team ensures you are fully prepared for a safe and successful surgical experience.

03. The Lip Lift Procedure

During the procedure, you may be given anti-anxiety medication to help you relax. Local anesthesia is injected in and around the upper lip. The incision is closed with dissolvable sutures, ensuring no visible scarring.

04. Recovery & After Care

After the surgery, you will receive detailed post-operative instructions for a smooth recovery. Patients are advised to avoid interfering with the sutures and to follow a liquid or soft diet for a few days. Dr. Song may prescribe a mouth rinse to reduce the risk of infection. Swelling will subside over several weeks, revealing a lifted, youthful shape in the upper lip area.
